The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. It is a rice flag with a blue face. The flag is made up of Englands White Red Cross, Scotlands blue white cross and Irelands White Red Cross. In the flag, the Red Cross on the white side represents the guardian Saint George of England, the white cross represents the guardian Saint Andrew of Scotland, and the red cross represents the guardian Saint Patrick of Ireland.
